ExtraOrdinary Things Start Small

Join myself, lost little things, and Bricolage for a special Small Business Saturday event downtown Boise. Etsy has partnered up with American Express to give small businesses a chance to win money towards a shop makeover with Rue Magazine by hosting a handmade truck show with a local Etsy artist.  We will have special Idaho and holiday themed gifts, food, crafts, photo booth, goodie bags and more!

RSVP at Eventbrite HERE for a chance to win a door prize and help us win that shop makeover, then join us on Saturday, November 29th @ Bricolage, 418 S. 6th Street, Boise, Idaho.

Starting in 2010, the same year both Chelsea and I started our businesses, Small Business Saturday has helped celebrate what it is to be a small business.  By shopping small you help create jobs and boost the economy in your local community.

DIY Pull Down Map

I love getting creative with new ways to hang artwork. This little project was inspired by the old vintage schoolroom maps that make my heart skip a beat. I used one of my screen printed vintage maps and a couple lengths of molding stained dark. I simply trimmed the map and glued it to the wood, drilled two small holes and hung it with cotton string. A much more affordable mini version that fits great in any space!

If you wanted to get really creative & authentic you could use a golden eye hook drilled into the bottom center to act as a decorative pull hook.
